THE NURSERY :)

FINALLY....I have pictures of the nursery....sorry it has taken me SO long to get the pictures up...wow these days seem to be flying by! Only 20 more days until due day!! EEEKKK.... the walls of the nursery are a bright blue (carribean rain) and then I painted a palm tree, monkey and giraffe on one of the walls.... The bedding is polka dots (I'm sure you are all shocked that I would have polka dots....I refrained from stripes :) The bedding has baby animals on it....my lovely husband was great about all the handyman jobs I had for him...The nursery is ALMOST finished....just waiting for the glider/ottoman and the....BABY :)

The changing table....it is stocked and ready to go....I didn't take a picture of the closet...but my dad said it looked like Meijers....I used over 200 hangers already :) oops :)

So this post is REALLY late...since Ian's 5th birthday was in August...but I am FINALLY getting around to posting things....I guess that's what happens when you are sick from school :)

Last week we went camping with a great set of friends from church. We had a ball hanging out with them and their kids! Ian and I fell in love with their 2 year old. She rode with us to the campground and we were about ready to steal her! We had beautiful weather and great times with them. We are blessed to have such great friends...

I found these HUGE marshmallows at Meijers, they were amazing, one is like the same size as three normal marshmallows... Kylie... any I.... LOVED them!

Baby Chou...

Right now our baby is an unknown sex... It has taken the name of Chou from my wonderful sister. When we were little, my dad used to call her "my little cabbage" in French. However, one of his friends didn't listen so great in French class, and my dad thought he was calling Cole his little cabbage, but actually he was calling her his jewel. Well, when we found out we were pregnant, Cole had the spectacular idea of calling the baby Chou (cabbage) since the real name is a mystery for now :) So in two weeks we will be able to find out what we are having...So I thought a fun thing would be to find out what all of our friends and family think we are having. I have attached a website where you can guess what the gender, weight, date born, length, and name of the child. Enjoy :)

San Francisco

So my mom and I decided that the girls needed to take a vacation together...Ian and I had gone to San Francisco last year, but we quickly drove through...San Francisco hills and traffic are not the best idea to attempt on an 1000 pound Harley...so mom and I thought we should do a girls trip there....We flew out at different times, and all ended up in San Fran on Thursday...with the exception of Rachel (who we missed VERY much). We had TONS of fun and did amazing things. The first night we ate at the Rain Forest Cafe, Olivia LOVED all the animals!

The next morning we all woke up early and headed to Alcatrez. If you have never been to Alcatrez...GO! It is incredible! We took the ferry to the island, and there went on an amazing tour of the island. It is a self guided tour where you can go at your own pace, with headphones explaining all the different aspects and adventures that occured at Alcatrez.

Meet the newest inmates at Alcatrez... :)

Our hotel was a block away from the famous Pier 39. Everyday we walked down there and took in the sights, shopped, and ate yummy food. One day while we were down there, Olivia decided to go bungee jumping. She had tons of fun, but couldn't quite figure out how to do a back flip.

We went on a duck tour around the city. The "duck" boat is the boat/vehicle used in World War II to storm the beaches of Normandy. These vehicles are able to go on land and in the water. They gave us duck quackers and we got a great tour of the city.

Monday morning we decided to go for a bike ride....we rented bikes and rode about 10 miles to the Golden Gate Bridge... I was not super excited about the 10 mile bike ride, but it was totally worth it! It was a great ride to the bridge and the view was AMAZING from the top of the bridge. If you make it to San Fran...you have to do this! Incredible!

The trip was an awesome way for us all to bond and spend time together. I am blessed to have an amazing mother, sister, sister-in-laws, and neices. I love that I had the opportunity to spend time with them before the baby is born!

Florida Vacation...

So my hubby and I went on a 2 week vacation down south. We went to Gatlinburg, TN and stayed there a couple days. We went to the aquarium there. WOW! That was awesome! Then we drove down to Charleston, SC and stayed at a hotel right on the ocean. We ate at this amazing resturant, and while we were eating two dolphins were swimming around in the water right in front of us! Incredible! Then we traveled to Fort Lauderdale and spent a couple days there. We stayed at a hotel right on the ocean, and had a great view from the 15th floor. We got to go on a chartered deep sea fishing trip, which was AWESOME! I caught a tuna and mackeral and Ian caught a huge baracuda. It was so much fun! Then we spent a relaxing night on a dinner cruise...which turned out to be not so relaxing due to morning...I mean all day...sickness :) It was an incredible time for us to get away and spend time together seeing God's amazing creation!

Wow....so we are new at this whole blog thing. We thought with the upcoming (5 months) of our new arrival we would start a blog to share our lives with our friends and family that can't see us every day :) A little about us....I am a 1st grade teacher, and absolutely LOVE every moment of teaching! It helps that the kids still think their teacher walks on water in first grade :) My hubby is a service manager for a large construction dealership :) We love each other, but most of all, we love our Heavenly Father. Our main focus here on earth is to live each day for the glory of God! We hope you enjoy our blog, and that through us you may see the love of God.
